A qualification for all of our summer staff is that they be professing Christians committed to following, in both spirit and practice, the principles listed in our Statement of Faith. They should have a sincere love for the Lord and desire to see people come to know Him personally and grow in their faith. Given the close proximity in which our staff will work all summer, we also expect mature conduct, healthy conflict resolution, and a general enthusiasm for the ministry at camp.
PROGRAM ASSISTANTS
Assist the Program Director in executing the summer program by planning, setting up, and running activities. Be leaders and support for the Counseling Team. Special roles for program assistants could also include, making videos, leading worship, lifeguarding, and boat driving. Looking for confident, organized, flexible, outgoing, personable, wise, and self-sacrificing people.
SERVICE TEAM COORDINATOR
Manage the canteen and the dinning hall set up, serving, and clean up. Train and supervise the Service Team volunteers as they perform tasks in those areas. Be a “counselor” to these volunteers leading them in devos and activities as well. Looking for someone who will lead by example, be hard working, energetic, detail oriented, and joyful in their work.
CRAFT SHOP COORDINATOR
Manage the craft shop creating crafts to offer for each age group. Outside of that, help in cleaning camp and supporting counselors each week. You’ll hop in and out of different places each day supporting counselors and building relationships with campers. Looking for someone passionate about art, organized, flexible, personable, and patient.
WATERFRONT COORDINATOR
Make the Waterfront a safe and enjoyable experience for campers and staff as they swim and boat. Spend some time each day helping the Maintenance Crew in various tasks and the Service Team Coordinator in supper clean up. Also, jump in here and there to support Counselors. Looking for someone responsible, that can work independently on projects, be an initiator, and be personable.
MAINTENANCE
Work with the Maintenance Director to maintain the grounds, repair damages, and set up special activities for the camp sessions. Looking for people who take initiative, work independently on projects, endure physically-demanding tasks, and are ready to ask “What can I do next?”
CAMP NURSE
Distribute medications and provide first aid in the event of accident or emergency. Be available and ready to respond to a variety of situations at a moment’s notice. Must have the minimum certification Emergency Medical Responder (can get certified after applying). Looking for people who are organized, level-headed, and can take control of difficult situations and put others at ease.
CABIN COUNSELOR
Stay in cabins with a group of campers, providing spiritual input through devotions, one-on-ones, and teachable moments. Guide campers through different activates and help ensure they have a good week. Looking for people who are energetic, enthusiastic, caring, patient, and good at managing time and people.
DISCIPLESIP COUNSELOR
Counsel for BASIC and HomeBase to lead High Schoolers deeper into their faith. Facilitate lessons, plan and run activates, and encourage camper’s passion in their faith. Outside of the Discipleship Programs, be a Cabin Counselor or fill in for another position in those weeks. Looking for staff who are, confident, emotionally resilient, able to teach, and preferably have experience in our discipleship camps.
CAMP SPECIALIST
Work at camp wherever is needed each week! Jump from kitchen, counseling, maintenance, or programing during the summer and do a bit of everything! If you have special interest of things you could to do help out around camp, there’s a lot of freedom to work on projects that you are inspired to do.
