If you are craving time for crafts and the opportunity to be creative, this is the retreat for you! Join other women for one of our Crafting Getaways for the chance to fight cabin fever while working on those projects you can never find time to do. It’s the perfect sisters’ weekend or friends’ getaway. Bring your own supplies and get to sewing, quilting, rubber stamping, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, painting, beaded jewelry, or any other craft you can think to do!

Highlights include your own 4-foot work space, over 40 hours of flexible work time, and of course: good company, great laughs, and an endless supply of coffee.

WHAT TO EXPECT

SCHEDULE AND MEALS

The retreat begins with check-in at 6:00pm on Friday and a snack that night. We will enjoy three meals and an evening snack on Saturday and two meals on Sunday, the retreat concluding after lunch (served at 12:00pm) on Sunday. Camp will provide plenty of food, but we encourage you to bring along a treat to share if you’d like!

We want you to be able to move at your own pace during the weekend, so we try to keep distractions and announcements to a minimum. We will, however, have a small devotional time during breakfast on Sunday.

Early Arrival Option: If you would like to arrive earlier on Friday, you may pay an additional $7 to arrive between 9am-5pm. (Meals will not be served during this time).

WORK AREAS

The Lodge fills up quickly after campers and their craft supplies arrive, but we make sure that everyone receives their own 4’ of table space to work at.  Please be mindful of your tablemates and bring only enough supplies to fit on/underneath this space, as we cannot guarantee additional space behind or around tables. There will be a table available for all campers to use for cutting or measuring larger pieces. Due to the growth in attendance, work tables will be located in the Lodge Dining Hall and the Cove (in that order, as necessary).

4′ Extra Table Space Option: If you would like an additional 4′ of table space to work with over the weekend you may pay an additional $10 when you register.

TABLEMATES

Having tablemates is the perfect way to catch up with old friends and to make new ones. Tables are arranged before you arrive to optimize for conversation, space, movement, and safety. You may request up to 3 tablemates. We do ask that you make those requests when you fill out your registration, as any additional requests will not be considered.

HOUSING INFO

Housing is dormitory and cabin style. Only bottom bunks will be assigned to campers. You have an opportunity to make roommate requests on your registration form, and we do our best to honor those. However, we do reserve the right to make changes as necessary. Also, we usually try to keep groups together that are coming from the same places, and spread people out so you are usually only with people you know.

Most people will have twin sized bottom bunks, so bring sheets for those and all other bedding you would like, plus a towel as we don’t provide those!

We also have handicap accessible lodging for any campers who have a legitimate physical limitation. Please specify any such limitations on your registration, otherwise we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your needs once you arrive at camp. If you have any unexpected needs, and you’ve already registered, please call ahead as all housing assignments are final and we are unable to rearrange housing once you arrive.
