As Phil said we have another Colorado Trip planned for 2012. We are even adding one extra day to allow for one more hike in the great Rocky Mountains. Dates are July 6-13, check out the registration form for more info. If you are thinking about going but have questions call us or talk to some of the campers who have gone before. I believe it might be the best week of the summer for you. Looking forward to co-leading another group to Colorado.

Parents, friends and others...

The Kinetic Team left this morning, everyone (except those of us staying longer) got on the plane. Please pray for the people who are feeling ill as they travel all day today.

Thanks.

Remaining under the strong power of God's protection was on my heart as I was praying for you this morning. As you finish out the last days in Santa Cruz, finish well. Rely not on your own stamina but upon God's faithfulness, his truth, his righteousness, and his provision of salvation. Stand resolutely and steadfastly, with assurance that you are under his mighty hand. (Ephesians 6).

It has been a blessing to receive your stories. I'm proud of each of you for your willingness to follow Christ, growing in compassion for those who have suffered injustice and expressing the Gospel in word and action. I wish I were there with you and will be praying as you make the transition back.

Hey all,
Today was our last day at cristo vienne. We worked hard and had a bit of time to play with the girls today. We said our goodbyes and they gave each of us a keychain that they had made. I wish I knew more spanish so I could have gotten to know them better then their name age and favorite color. Despite the language barrier I still enjoyed getting to know them and see their different personalities. I remember a lot of them from last year.
Other than spending time with the girls we got to spend time with the missionaries down here. It has been such blessing getting to learn about their ministries.
Please keep us in your prayers.

Ephesians 3:20
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we may ask or imagine(in Bolivia), according to His power that is at work within us(as you serve), to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations (what you are doing today, is having lifechanging impact for future generations!), for ever and ever amen!

Hello from Winona Minnesota. This is Erin Berlin-Burns Mom. Our family sends our love, hugs and prayers to you Erin and your whole team. You all are amazing, as you surrender to our amazing God to let His love flow through you to His people in Bolivia. I pray for His strength and joy to carry you through your final days and that You continue to trust Him for your transitions back home, as you say goodbye to Bolivia...for now. Love you Erin, so much! Mom

Good evening from BOLIVIA! I want to share with you all tonight about some of my thoughts about my wonderful Sunday. First of all, my heart went out to my church today. I love the church body, and thank God that He planned and purposed for us to be connected through a church body to learn and worship together on a weekly basis, and to make connections that last beyond Sunday morning. I can't help but consider a passage that was put before us recently, Hebrews 10:24-25. This passage encourages us to continue to meet together. Of course, I also think of Romans 1:11-12, and my mind calls up stories in Acts of the early church. However, I do not want to tangent too much from the main purpose of my message.

This morning we went to a small vinyard church. As I sat on a plastic patio chair and tried to follow Spanish worship music off of slides that were progressing too slowly I couldn't help but think of worship back at home. If you found yourself today frustrated by any tech glitches, musical mistakes, or small issues in the sermon, take a moment to consider the churches in Boliva where technology, furnishings, and space are all simple, but the hunger and love for the Lord is strong. It was wonderful to sing "Senor eres fiel" (Lord You Are Good) in Spanish. Especially as we sang:
"gente de toda lengua y nation
De generation a generation
Te adoramos hoy"
(People from every nation and tounge, from generation to generation, we worship you)

Today Cody preached on Mark 8. The lesson plan was "Who is God, God must die, and I must die" It was a truly wonderful message for me as I have been struggling these last few days with my desire for God to give me certain things. I was reminded today that when I acknowledged Christ as mu Savior I agreed to die to myself and give up my own plans formy life. The author of creation has a much better plan, and it was good to be reminded of His control in my life. Today as well the Lord has been sustaining me with contentment and His strength. I consider Philippians 4:11-12 and 1 Chronicles 16:11.

Tonight many members of our team also went to Pastor Juan's church. In fact, Parker Rabe, Erin Burlinburns(sp?), Brennen Bowman, And Nathaniel DeLeeuw were on the roster to present the message last I checked and Cody stayed back with some of us for some good fellowship, worship, and prayer.

Thank you for all the prayer. There is a spiritual battle going on in Bolivia and all your prayers are greatly appreciated. The Lord continues to sustain us and grow us together daily. Pray that the devil would not have a foothold to spread lies and that the Lord would continue to sustain us with His great strength. Pray also for Heather and other members of the team who are in Bolivia longer than we are and deal with the constant spiritual, emotional, and physical strain of serving the Father and battling the devil's schemes to quiet the spreading of God's love in Bolivia.

Parents of all- Do not worry! There have been no bouts of serious illness and no injuries that I know of.
From Bolivia the the US, Chao!

Your ministry with the children is so present in my thoughts and prayers today...what better way to live close to Jesus than to serve the little ones! Matthew 18:1-5 says "At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, 'Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' He called a little child and had him stand among them. And He said, 'I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me." I'm praying that the Lord's upside down world is fully evident to you--that you could serve these precious ones with humble hearts and come to the Lord with the heart of a child, trusting Him for everything you need. Garrett--read the rest of the chapter, too. It's rich with truth about preciousness and forgiveness....love you and miss you. So grateful for all of you--your time and your team.
Hey there to all of you who aren't in Bolivia! Just filling in a time-line; yesterday we spent all day at the Christo Viene Girls Home, where we dug most a trench needed for a new water line, and laid part of the line itself. Other jobs done were more painting of bricks, planting of yuca, and straightening of rebar. I spent some time on the rebar with a wrench and a hammer. Brennan, Austin and I had a good time singing some hymns while doing that, and I got in a few choruses of that weird song golum sings with the fish. I haven't gotten to play with the kids much yet, but I have high hopes for next weeks... we're gonna pray now, so bye!

Hello dear ones, this message is mostly for Andy Krahn, but also a prayer request for you all, and any family and friends who feel led to pray. Alex, a dear family friend and lifelong playmate of Andy's, found out less than 2 weeks ago that he has a very aggressive form of testicular cancer. He had a port put in this morning, and will start a 5 day round of aggressive chemo next Tuesday. I knew you would want to know the latest news and be praying for him, Andy. Praise God, he has great medical care. Much love to you all from the Krahns

Today was definitely my most favorite day since we have gotten here. We went to the Cristo Viene boys home. We were doing the norm, painting bricks and such. The boys and some of the girls were digging a hole for sewer drainage. I chose to help with painting bricks. For some reason, I really enjoy painting bricks. It is also very fun to hand my paintbrush to one of the boys to have them paint a brick or two, and telling them to be careful in spanish. :) My most favorite part of the day was the craft making with the boys. We made snowflakes. There was somewhat of a language barrier, but I enjoyed it so so much! I enjoyed being able to communicate with them where to cut, etc. The boys were such a blessing and so adorable. I wish that we could go back again. Tomorrow we will be going to the Cristo Viene girls home again to do some more painting or doing whatever needs to be done. I am looking forward to that as well. :)

I would like to ask prayer because I feel that God has been laying it on my heart to stay in Bolivia for a couple more weeks. It is kind of an overwhelming feeling and situation, so if Lord willing, it is a possibility for me to stay here. Thank you so much for the prayers!!
