Welcome to the experience of a lifetime! This summer campers grades 7-12 have an opportunity once again to join us on an Arrowhead Outdoor Adventure trip. In the past, we have taken 8 days to visit Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. We will do that again, but this year, we are adding more! Not only will we be camping in tents at a base camp and taking several day hikes in the mountains, but we will also be taking an adventure filled day to go white water rafting with a professional rafting outfitter! Each of the events on this trip are designed to be safe and challenging with a heavy focus on exploring the greatness of God. No experience necessary. You don't have to be a wilderness nut to go on this trip, just a love for adventure, hiking and spending time with friends and God in His wonderful creation.
Here is what the trip will look like:
July 26-27 This will be our traveling time from Arrowhead. We will arrive in Omaha, NE the evening of the 26th and be staying at a local Evangelical Free Church. On the 27th we will arrive and set up our base camp at Covenant Heights near Rocky Mountain National Park.
July 28-31 The 28th, 29th, and 31st we will be taking scenic day hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park. We will enjoy wonderful meals and special times of hearing from God from His word. On the 30th we will be taking a full day white water rafting trip with a professional outfitter from the area.
August 1-2 These will be our traveling days back to Arrowhead. We will spend the morning of the 1st taking down camp and then head into Estes Park, CO for the rest of the morning. That evening we will spend the night back in Omaha and then be back to camp sometime in the afternoon on the 2nd. Pick-up time at camp will be 4:00 PM
This trip is designed for anyone grades 7-12. Yes you can sign up with your friends or on your own. We will then join as a team here at Arrowhead and head out. This trip will include different staff members that will assist with the safety and theme focus of this trip.
Parents: Once a camper registers for the trip, we will send information about what to bring, and other important information in the confirmation package. If you do have other questions prior to registration as what your child may need or other details of the trip, feel free to contact us at camp.
